History
The SCU Marlins were reinvigorated in 2010 by a group of university students based at Southern Cross University Coffs Harbour after a novelty game vs. Lismore Uni in 2009 planted the seed for a full-time club. The inaugural President of the revamped SCU Marlins was studying teacher, Michael Russell, supported by future Marlin's legend Simon Donald.
The SCU Marlins rejoined the MNC comp in Reserve Grade only, before adding First Grade in 2012 and then an Under 16s team in 2013.
The club continued to expand into the junior ranks, adding Under 14s and 18s over the next 2 seasons, and then a women's side in 2017.
The SCU Marlins have grown in size each year in teams and also as a club, now boasting one of the biggest clubs in the UMNCRU association and strong links within the Coffs Harbour community. The club has enjoyed ongoing success with premierships, specifically in the MNC Junior Competitions.
